Scholarship
The Dr. Bertram L. Ashe and Dolly Ashe Scholarship was created by the Ashe family in recognition of the outstanding career of these two individuals in the field of education. Dr. Bertram L. Ashe was part of the Los Angeles Unified School District for over thirty years as a teacher, vice-principal, principal and school administrator. Dolly Ashe was a special education teacher for over fifteen years in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Both of them have dedicated the better part of their lives to the enrichment and betterment of children in Los Angeles.
As an alumni of Cal State Los Angeles, Dr. Ashe began a long and illustrious career in the field of education and deserves this honor and our civic gratitude.

- Charter College of Education
- Undergraduate and graduate students with a 3.0 G.P.A.
- Majoring in Urban Learning and pursuing a teaching credential
- Student should show active involvement in African American Community activities
